The Crimson Chronicles

Arontala's journal day 1

Father has asked that I help with locating one of the local knights who has gone missing. I happily agreed, wanting to help out however I could to find the poor soul. I was introduced to the group of adventurers that was being charged wit this task. We had the apprentice to the healer, and young alchemist Wednesday. She seems like a good sort, a little odd, but a decent person. Sorin, the knight’s Squire, seems like another good soul, mostly concerned about his masters well-being. The man hits like a Bulette. Then there is Morticia, an odd woman with a sad smile. She has some kind of affinity with plants, even going as far as having some sort of carnivorous plant as a pet that she hides in her backpack. I had best keep my eye on her. We have a minstrel who travels with us, whenever I see him doing his little performances, I always feel a bit more… courageous. He is interesting because, usually someone of his stature uses smaller or ranged weaponry. This one wields a great sword with amazing proficiency. The last of our group is a rather peculiar fellow. He claims to be a rouge but something is off about how he acts. He seems to be hiding something, I just don’t know what it is yet.

We started out west, heading along the main road going the last known direction of the missing knight. Shortly after our departure we were attacked by a group of Elementals, our group took them out with relative ease, although I did take a decent beating in the process. After the fight, we had found corpse stashed away inside of a tree. This caused Sorin a bit of visible distress. We pushed onwards, approaching a cave. Sorin and his horse fell into a pit trap that had been dug, and were attacked by some more elementals. Just seemed like things were just going to get worse from her onward…

Once in the cave, we found a peculiar sight, an elemental that was a fusion of both Earth and Fire. To my knowledge, and the knowledge of Lord Brego, no elemental had even been able to fuse together like that. An ill omen if I have ever seen one…

After turning in my report to Lord Brego, The group and I headed out to track down some wolves that were slaughtering some of the villagers cows. It was a simple fight, and we had saved some of our livestock.

We are about to head out again, more missing livestock… I’ll update when we get back.
